"Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances."
This is the first amendment to the Constitution. Also known as the first amendment of the 'Bill or Rights'. What does it mean? Does it mean a citizen or group of citizens cannot congregate in a park to worship? It doesn't sound like it to me, how about to you?
After all doesn't it prohibit the Government from your free exercise of worship? "... or prohibiting the free exercise thereof ...", if the government prohibits me from holding a prayer meeting on the Mall in Washington D.C. aren't they violating the Constitution? At the same time this amendment prohibits the Government from forming or mandating participation in a specific religion - like the Church of Environmentalism.
Look at the environmental movement. If that is not a religion, or at least religious like, I don't know what is. And this religion has access to the power of taxation rather than voluntary tithing. It has the power to strip you of your right to speech - try speaking out publicly against this religion. It controls the press, keeping you from your ability to get the word countering this religion out. Assemble, don't even think about it unless your for 'the' religion of Environmentalism.
So our current Progressive Government continues and even speeds up the work of the previous Progressive Government to strip "We the People" of our first amendment rights. They do it piece by piece until one day we realize we have none of it left. Then they will start on the second amendment after that and work their way through all ten pieces of the Bill of Rights.
